Located in south-central Indiana, Bloomington High Schools North and South regularly compete in sports and academics but the orchestra students from these two schools perform, work and play together in the Hoosier Youth Philharmonic.
President - We are looking for a new president! - coordinate with the directors, run the Boosters meetings, and organize parent volunteers
Recordings - Record concerts to post to the HYP Youtube channel.
Location:
All string events will be held at the NEW Northview Middle School, 9020 N. College Ave., Indianapolis. Northview Middle School is approximately 7 minutes from North Central High School.
Warm Up Area:
All String Solos and Ensembles will use the NVMS Auxiliary/East Gym for warm-up. To alleviate overcrowding of this area, do not report to warm-up more than 15 minutes before your scheduled performance.
Parking:
Please review the Parking maps prior to arriving at your site. At Northview Middle School, parking is only available on the north and south sides of the building. Parking is prohibited in the grass around NCHS and NVMS. Buses and instrument trucks will be sent to an area behind the school after unloading.
Schedule Conflicts:
No performance time changes can be made in advance to the published schedule. Minor schedule conflicts can usually be resolved at the performance room on the day of the event. In case of a conflict, participants should check with the door monitor at their scheduled room, as early as possible upon arrival. Directors should also notify door monitors of any events from their school that will not be attending. Although every attempt will be made to accommodate conflicts, there is no guarantee every conflict can be resolved.

Be sure that the full music score for the piece being performed is brought! If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me promptly.

This meeting will take place online as a Microsoft Teams call. We will discuss the Strings Spectacular and Spaghetti Supper. HYP board meetings take place at BHSN all fall semester (this is the last booster meeting at North for the 25-26 school year; we will move to South starting with the January meeting).
